    About the President/CEO

    Margaret Palmer Opolski (Peg) has over 40 years experience in the formulation and application of coatings and adhesives in the medical device, automotive, textile, construction, and recreational industries for Fortune 500 companies.

    Her background includes a master’s degree in polymer chemistry, patents, journal publications, and patents pending. She has been a featured speaker at MDM and Coated Fabrics and Films events.

    She has a multidisciplined technical support network available in the areas of plastics, metals, coating and adhesive resins, formulating additives, films and fibers.

    Ninety percent of the products in the world are coated for functional or aesthetic purposes. Medical devices have long employed coatings to improve device performance and enhance patient comfort and health. One main application is drug delivery, with hydrophilic, antimicrobial, and antithrombogenic coatings available, among others. Peg’s keynote address highlighted the basics of coating technologies, economics, and intellectual property considerations, and she cited specific case studies to illustrate.
